Backwoods Enterprises provides firewood and small quantities of rough sawn lumber derived from our own woodlot, as well as from our customers who are managing their forested property in a responsible manner. We perform NO clear-cutting of ANY property, and will harvest timber only from sites that have an approved management plan in place. We also buy logs from tree and landscape companies that remove trees from their customers properties. Lumber 'reject' logs are also acquired from local sawmills. None of our timber is derived from landclearing companies that do not practice natural resource conservation or restorative forestry technology relating to low-impact harvesting of forest products.
